'Solace' Collection
Solace means comfort or consolation and each of the places in this collection provided me with solace. This new landscape collection is painted in muted colours to give these pieces a contemplative quality. They depict the topography and colour of the landscape and they capture moments of quiet, in gentle conditions, during an Irish Spring and Summer. They are not overworked to reflect their simple pleasure. The scale of the paintings encourage the viewer to stop, step closer, and bathe in a moment of calm.
